A few details help us reply with something useful.
Common questions
Short answers. Ask us anything else.
Who will guide my trip?
One of our Namibian guides. The founders, Brooklyn Gaoseb and John-Isaac Kaulinge, guide many trips themselves; on others you travel with a guide they know and trust. Either way the trip is private and run the way they run theirs: personal, unhurried and away from the busy routes.
How do bookings and pricing work?
Multi-day trips are quoted on request for your dates, group size (from two guests) and accommodation level. You receive an itemised quotation. A 50% deposit secures the dates and the balance is due seven days before departure.
When is the best time to visit Namibia?
Any time of year. The dry winter (May to October) has mild days and the best wildlife viewing at Etosha waterholes. Summer (November to April) is warmer and greener, with dramatic afternoon skies and good birding.
What vehicle do we travel in?
A 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for viewing and photography, air conditioning, charging points for cameras and a fridge on board.
What climbing gear is provided?
Ropes, harnesses, helmets, quickdraws, trad protection, anchors and a first-aid kit. Bring your own climbing shoes, approach shoes and chalk bag if you have them.
Can beginners climb?
Yes. Single-pitch sessions at Spitzkoppe and Windhoek are set up on top rope for beginners and families. Experienced climbers can do the multi-pitch classics.
What about cross-border travel?
Cross-border routes pass through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Most nationalities get visas on arrival or online. We handle vehicle permits and road levies at the borders.
